Hans Christian Aavik and the Estonian Foundation of Musical Instruments, together with outstanding string players, offered a powerful musical experience. Three of the four works in the programme were by Estonian composers — Veljo Tormis, Tõnu Kõrvits and Jaan Rääts. This concert, with its radiant music and excellent performers, affirmed the strength of Estonian contemporary classical music.
